CLEARWATER, FL, FEBRUARY 16, 2017 – Big Storm Brewing Co, known for its award-winning craft beer, will soon be known for its delicious, inventive appetizers and casual entrees.

Incorporating high quality products like grass fed beef, ahi tuna and Prince Edward Island mussels, Big Storm now offers a menu of dishes that pair perfectly with its flavorful beers.  In fact, many of the menu selections are made with Big Storm’s craft beers.

Big Storm has hired local Executive Chef Gerry Malynowsky to run the kitchen at its Clearwater taproom, which is located at 12707 49th St. N.

“The quality and passion with which Big Storm brews their beers dovetails well with my commitment to quality, and I am excited about this opportunity,” Chef Gerry said.

Chef Gerry is a food industry veteran with more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry.  He most recently served as the executive chef of Cigar City Brew Pub and Puff’ and Stuff Events and Catering operating out of TPepin’s Hospitality Centre.

Menu items include a delicious grilled chicken Banh Mi sandwich, four cheese flatbread with wilted kale, an ahi tuna tossed in a garlic ginger poke sauce, Kung Pao jumbo chicken wings and beer infused grass fed beef sliders with caramelized beer onions on house baked brioche buns.

“In the past, Big Storm guests were always welcome to bring food into the taprooms, or order from visiting food trucks,” said Big Storm CEO Jonathan Golden. “Chef Gerry joining our team means bringing in permanent and consistent food options for our guests. He has created a savory menu to perfectly coordinate with our wide spectrum of beers.” Golden further added, “We can now offer our guests an assortment of options for parties, corporate events and special occasions.”

The Big Storm kitchen, which is located inside a permanent food trailer adjacent to the brewery, will serve food during brewery hours, which are Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Big Storm also operates a second taproom in Pasco County located at 2330 Success Drive in Odessa.  Big Storm is working on offering food in this taproom later this year.
