CLEARWATER, FL – MARCH 13, 2017 – Big Storm Brewing Co added the Crowler® to its packaged options in both the Pasco and Pinellas taprooms. Now guests can enjoy a fresh craft beer directly from the tap, in a portable 32 ounce-sized can.
Canned craft beer is gaining popularity as a packaging option mainly because cans are air tight and blocks 100% of the light, so the beer never gets tainted. Each Crowler® is purged before filling, which helps ensure there is no oxygen added to the beer. Once filled, the lid is applied and spun under pressure on a seamer machine. The 32oz cans are filled on demand in the taprooms exactly like a glass growler would, but offers non-breakable packaging for the beach, boat, tailgate or pool, and 100% recyclable.
“Big Storm will still be selling and filling glass growlers in both taprooms,” said taproom director Joe Frasco. “The Crowler® gives our taproom guests another option for to-go draft Big Storm beer,” he continued.
The Crowler® sells for one dollar, plus the price of the beer and is available at the Pinellas taproom (12707 49th Street, Clearwater, FL 33260) and at the Pasco taproom (2330 Success Drive, Odessa, FL 33556).
